Twas a morning where I mixed things up some. Ran up and did the three mile loop, then over to Adams Park, and then hit up the Canyon Road trail. Wasn't sure how the bowels would hold up, but they did well. My feet hurt initially, but they always loosen up and don't bother me by the end of my runs. 6:40 average, and I couldn't tell through my breathing how hard the effort was at times. Excited as I'm noticing an increase in fitness, not sure when I'm going to race or do anything competitive though.

I thought my bowels would hold up better based on my pre-run poop, but my body proved otherwise, which kind of destroyed the last four miles of my run. I had between 6:30 and 6:40 pace pretty locked in for the most part and it felt fairly comfortable, but once the poop set in, I abandoned the thoughts of how fast I was going and was completely focused on surviving, because I was pretty confident the closest porta-potty wasn't until Inovation campus. I barely made it, and then kind of just jogged in the last little bit. It was still quality time on the feet this morning though.

A little rainy this morning, so it took me a little longer to get ready as I had to track down my band-aids and what not. Took things pretty easy today, so nothing felt too bad. The shoes are still bothering my feet initially in the way they put pressure on the top of my foot. 6:54 average.

Ran with Erich Olschewski around Mantua. It was nice to run in the light, but the rain was interesting. We got pummelled the last 6 miles or so, including some hail. My feet didn't bother me really, which was encouraging. Felt really good today. Averaged 6:23s, which was honestly a pretty true average as we were around there for most of the run. It honestly felt quite comfortable for me. The last couple of miles it was hard to keep the legs rolling because they were so cold though.

I've decided I might have been tying my shoes too tight and that's why they were bothering me. I felt quite good today considering what happened Saturday, but I guess my recovery efforts made a big difference. I was also loving the humidity this morning. 6:35 average.

Easy peasy morning for me just because I could and felt like it would do my body good. (That rhymed!) Things felt like they were firing properly, and it was good practice for me on controlling the effort. 6:54 average

Coldest day so far for this fall heading into winter. I broke out the tights and the headband to keep the ears warm. Online it said it was 23 in Logan, but Brother Lucherini told me it was 18°F at his house in North Logan, and I think that's probably about what it actually was for my run. I felt surprisingly good, and the cool air put me in a great mental state. 6:34 average. My legs are now feeling tired and a little sore now though.

Was up a little later than normal because I was talking to my roommate about school and missions (which was also a rare occurence). Slept in 15 minutes to try and make up for it, but I still woke up feeling pretty tired. I took things fairly easy effort wise, and I honestly felt great physically. Between all the soup and chocolate milk I had last night, I did have to stop and poop, but the legs felt fine. I also discovered the Hyde Park Cemetary porta-potty is gone. 6:52 average

The first half of the run I did not feel good. My stomach was uneasy and my head felt funny. I felt great the second half of the run though, and I was able to not think about running at all and ponder gospel truths. 6:46 average for 9.5 miles.

I also ran 2.6 miles watching the NCAA Mountain regional races. I'm not officially counting them as miles because it wasn't consistent enough.

Stayed up watching the BYU football game so I slept in and actually ran in the light for once. Kind of like yesterday, my stomach didn't feel the best for the first 6 miles. I also woke up with some tight hips and glutes. They didn't really bother me during the run though. I could tell by mile 3, despite the fact that I wasn't feeling great at the time, that it was going to be a quality run. 6:13 average. My last 8 miles were 5:57,5:54,5:59,6:00,5:57, 6:01, 6:06, 6:06. I didn't really get uncomfortable until the last mile.

Woke up this morning feeling pretty tired. This was also very evident for the first half of my run as my breathing was way harder than it should be considering how fast I was running. Other than that, my left hip was pretty tight/hurt, and I especially felt it whenever I was running downhill. 6:54 average.

I'm writing this middle of the day, and my left hip has been extremely tight all day at school as well.

Felt that it would do my body good to hit up the trails this morning. My quads felt pretty tired today. Hopefully it did my legs well. My hip didn't feel too bad, I hardly felt it. 7:03 average

6:46 average, I honestly can't remember much from this run as I'm updating this a day late. I'm pretty sure my left hip was still feeling a little tight. Wasn't trying necessarily to run medium effort.

My legs felt weird today and they didn't feel like they had much pop to them. My left hip still doesn't feel quite right. However, I still ran pretty well. 6:41 average. The pace wasn't super consistent, probably partially due to varying elevation.

6:35 average. Slept in, but knew I needed the stress relief of my run. The fact that I was a little pressed for time accounted for running a little faster.

Very quality run this morning, definitely my best long run ever. I didn't judge the temperatures correctly, but it was an awesome morning to be out there. 6:03 average. Felt pretty good, my feet didn't bother me. I could feel my left hip on occasions, but it didn't slow me down at all.

Hungry and tired all day. Not getting a ton of sleep probably has something to do with that.

Took things nice and easy this morning as I want to recover from the awesome run I had Saturday and reap those benefits. 6:56 average. Other than feeling tired in the sense that I could sleep, my body felt fairly good. My calves and hamstrings felt a little tight, and my left hip still isn't quite right, but everything for the most part felt fairly normal. My breathing was relatively hard considering how fast I was going. I did have to stop at a porta-potty, and I used the last ounce of toilet paper, since that was all there was and I wasn't making it to a different one.

My left hip doesn't really seem to affect my running at all, as I normal can barely feel it if at all. However, it will kill me at times when I'm sitting at my desk working on homework. I'm not sure why. It makes doing homework even more unbearable though.

I had a hard time over the first two or three miles getting my breathing to feel right, as I felt like I was on the verge of a sidestitch. I picked the pace up a little bit after that, and my breathing then felt a lot more normal. 6:44 average.

Hit up one of my favorite places to run this morning on my way back from Logan (Fernwood). I honestly tried to be fairly relaxed and enjoy the run on the regular 7 mile route, and I ran right on 49 flat, which is kind of cool considering in high school it was a big deal and we were working super hard to get under 50. I then ran up the Great Western Trail to get the rest of the mileage. These miles were significantly slower because it's some pretty good elevation gain to say the least. Awesome effort though.

I woke up with some sore/tight glutes and hips, so I decided to just put in some miles rather than try and do some faster mile repeats. I basically just went out and chilled for 12 miles, however my chilling was averaging 6:28s. I felt nice and relaxed, and was able to work out a little of the stiffness in my glutes.

Wasn't super motivated to get out the door, but I knew I wanted to run. Took things nice and easy again. The slight downhills bothered my left glute/hip a little. 6:29 average, which didn't even feel hard.

I was hoping to have another super awesome long run like I did last week, but I can't be too disappointed with what I was able to do today. Last week was probably my best run ever, and unfortunately there are off days, and today was one of those days for me. After the first mile I could tell that my body just wasn't responding the best. I stopped at a porta-potty 7 miles which did make me feel a little better and I was able to pick things up a little. Around miles 11 and 12 I started to notice that my left foot was tight, which was influencing my stride and also causing my left hip to hurt. I basically ran the rest of the run with my stride feeling not right due to those two things. 6:18 average

No run today as I was throwing up last night and didn't feel great for a good chunk of the day yesterday. Rather recover quickly. There was nothing in my system to try and run on anyways.

Felt surprisingly good this morning, probably because I had an extra days rest. I did have to stop at a porta potty because I'd mostly ate liquid stuff and my bowels were still a little messed up. 6:49 average, which felt way easy. My cadence was even at a 179, and it hasn't been that low in a long time. My feet didn't bother me, and for the most part I couldn't really feel my left hip either. My left knee hurt a little at the top, but I think it was just tight muscles or something.

As I started the run, I just wasn't feeling it. I felt pretty zapped energy wise. It improved around 3 miles in, but then by mile 5 I could tell that my legs just didn't have the energy to respond. I guess the stomach bug took more out of me than I had thought. I decided since I already missed a day this week, I'll just make this an easier week. 6:56 average. Slept for the 20 minutes I would have been running.
