Did a good warmup before the intervals. Ankle tendonitis hurting at first. Warmup loop plus my normal drills. The first part of my workout was 4x800's at goalish 3200 pace, with 1:30-45 seconds recovery for a semi race simulation. I hit 2:28 2:28 2:27 2:28. Things felt pretty good, but I had to fight some on the against the wind parts, and was having gas build up pains on my last repeat. I had a five minute break and then did 4x400's at goalish 1600 pace, with about 45 seconds recovery, once again as a race simulation. I knew these would be tought with the two miles before. I also changed into my matumbos for these. I went 68, 67, 68, 67. I was strong throughout them, but was having to work hard in them. It was not easy that's for sure. Probably one of my better track workouts ever. I was really motivated today. I just want to be the best that I can. 25+ minute cooldown with Zach after.
